Welcome to the Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston (FFFH). The FFFH is the first of its kind to provide non- governmental funding for the purchase of life-saving equipment needed every day by the Houston Fire Department.
Ever-increasing demands on the city of Houston’s budget has not allowed adequate funding for some essentials for the department. The FFFH was founded in 2006 to bridge this gap. Funds raised by the foundation go directly to purchase equipment needed by the department and with an extremely low overhead, nearly ninety-five cents of every dollar raised is used to purchase equipment that just might save your life, the life of a family member or that of a neighbor.
The FFFH is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is the first of its kind to provide equipment for the Fire Department. We exist only to provide the best tools, technology and equipment for our fire fighters.
Business groups, organizations and so many individuals have stepped up in the past year to help these efforts. Sponsors such as Houston City Council Member Brenda Stardig, AT&T, Civic Entertainment, Chevron, KBR, Apache, Silver Eagle Distributing, Landmark Restaurants, Kelsey Seybold, Cigna, Lyondellbasell, Linebarger, Kroger’s, Comcast, HEB, MetroNational, United Airlines and many more. With these funds we are adding to the department rescue and evacuation boat fleet and so much more.
